How to Find Microsoft Teams ID and Channel ID

Get the IDs you need to connect Namirasoft Teams Sender

You can quickly locate the IDs needed to connect Namirasoft Teams Sender to your Teams workspace. Follow the steps below to copy your Team and Channel links and extract the IDs for message delivery.

 

Note: To use Namirasoft Teams Sender, you must have Microsoft 365 (Pro) or a Teams subscription that supports Teams and Channel IDs.

 

 

Step 1: Open Microsoft Teams and Navigate to Teams Section

  • Open Microsoft Teams on your desktop or web browser.

 

  • Locate and go to the Teams section in the sidebar.

 

This will allow you to access the specific Team you want to connect with Namirasoft Teams Sender.

Step 2: Copy the Team Link

  • In the Teams section, locate the Team you want to connect.

 

  • Click the three dots (more options) next to the Team name.

 

  • Select Get link to team and copy the link provided.

 

This link will be used to extract your Microsoft Teams ID.

Step 3: Extract the Teams ID from the Link

  • Take the URL you copied for the specific Team in Step 2.

 

  • Look for the part of the URL that identifies the Team. This is usually a long alphanumeric string after /team/.

 

  • Copy this string, this is your Microsoft Teams ID.

 

Example:

 

URL:https://teams.microsoft.com/l/team/19%3aabc123def456ghi789%40thread.tacv2/conversations?groupId=xyz987&tenantId=uvw123

 

Teams ID: 19:abc123def456ghi789@thread.tacv2

Step 4: Navigate to the Channel and Copy Its Link

  • Go to the channel within your selected Team where messages will be delivered.

 

  • Click the three dots next to the channel name.

 

  • Choose “Get link to channel” and copy the full URL. This URL contains the Channel ID needed for Namirasoft Teams Sender.

Step 5: Extract the Channel ID from the Copied Link

  • Take the URL you copied from the channel in Step 4.

 

  • Locate the portion after /channel/ and before the next /. This is your Channel ID.

 

So what you are copying is the URL of the channel, not just the name. From that URL, you extract the Channel ID.
