Learn the basics of Namirasoft Storage.
1. What is Namirasoft Storage?
Namirasoft Storage is a storage management application that lets you connect existing cloud or SFTP storage or create Namirasoft-managed storage resources and manage all storage from a single console.
2. Can I create storage directly on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Storage?
No. You must already have storage on AWS, GCP, or Azure. Storage allows you to connect and manage these existing storage spaces alongside Namirasoft-managed storage resources.
3. What types of storage can I manage with Storage?
You can manage Namirasoft-backed storage resources, AWS S3, AWS EFS, GCP Cloud Storage, GCP Filestore, Azure Blob, Azure Files, SFTP, and many more. See the full list of supported storage on the Coverage page.
4. How do I upload files to my storage?
Once your storage is connected or created, you can upload and organize files through the Storage console or use your applications and databases to access them.
5. Do I need technical skills to use Storage?
No. Storage provides a single interface to manage all connected storage. You only need credentials for external storage, and basic configuration is guided in the console.
6. Where is Namirasoft-managed storage hosted?
Namirasoft-managed storage resources are hosted on Namirasoft servers, giving you direct control and access through the Storage console.
7. Can I use Storage with my applications and databases?

8. Where can I find detailed pricing for Storage?
You can view all pricing details for Namirasoft Storage on the Pricing page.
How It Works FAQs
Common questions about setting up and using storage resources in Namirasoft Storage.
1. Do I need an account to get started?
Yes. Create a free Namirasoft Account to access Namirasoft Storage and every other Namirasoft application.
2. What is the difference between Namirasoft managed storage and connected external storage?
Namirasoft managed storage is created and hosted entirely by Namirasoft. You do not bring any storage of your own, Namirasoft provides and runs it for you. Connected external storage is storage you already own with another provider, such as Google Drive, Amazon S3, or SFTP. You connect it to Namirasoft Storage and manage it in one place, while the data stays in your own provider account.
3. What storage types can I connect?
You can connect a wide range of storage, including major cloud object storage, SFTP, and many more. See Storage Types in the Storage Console Guide for the full list and the fields each one needs.
4. Is a Log Group required?
No. A Log Group is optional. You can add or change it at any time to record activity for your storage in Namirasoft Log.
5. Do I need credentials for every storage resource?
Credentials are needed only for connected external storage, so Namirasoft Storage can access your account securely. Namirasoft managed storage does not require credentials.
6. Can I create more than one storage resource?
Yes. You can create as many storage resources as you need, each with its own type, region, settings, and access. The cost depends on each storage resource's type and usage, so see the Pricing page for details.
7. Can I change a storage resource later?
Yes. The console lists all your storage resources, and you can open any one to edit its settings, Log Group, and other details at any time.
8. Where can I find help with a specific field?
The Storage Console Guide explains every field for every storage type, including where to find each value.
Pricing FAQs
Find details about how pricing works in Namirasoft Storage.
1. How is managed storage measured and billed?
Managed storage is billed per TB, per month. Fixed Size is billed on the capacity you reserve. Flexible Size and Namirasoft S3 are billed on the storage you actually use during the month.
2. Why do Fixed, Flexible, and Namirasoft S3 cost different amounts?
Each storage type is built for a different use case. Fixed Size and Flexible Size are managed storage storage for applications and systems that need persistent, directly usable capacity. Namirasoft S3 is object storage for files, backups, and archives, which is priced lower than volume storage.
3. For connected external storage, do I also pay my provider?
Yes. Your storage provider bills you directly for the storage itself. The only thing you pay Namirasoft for external storage is a usage fee on the data you read and write.
4. Why is there a fee for connecting external storage?
Connecting external storage brings it into the same console, workspaces, and access controls as your Namirasoft storage, with credentials kept in Namirasoft Secret. The fee applies to the data you read and write through that connection.
5. How is the external usage fee measured?
It applies to the data you read and write through the connection during the month. Storage you connect but do not access is not charged by Namirasoft.
6. Is there a minimum or a setup fee?
No. There is no minimum and no setup fee. You pay only for what you use, billed monthly.
7. Can I mix managed and external storage on one account?
Yes. You can use Namirasoft managed storage and connected external storage together in the same workspace, managed from one console.
8. Can I cancel anytime, and what happens to my data?
Yes, you can cancel anytime. Your external connections simply stop being managed here, and your own storage stays with your provider. For managed storage, you can export or remove your data before you close the storage resource.
