How Password Works

From Vault Setup to Browsing

Namirasoft Password works through a secure web console and a browser extension. Set up your vault in the console, then use the extension to generate, access, and save passwords directly while browsing.

Follow the steps below to see how everything works together.

Step 1: Create a Namirasoft Account

Create a Namirasoft Account to begin using Namirasoft Password. Your account is used to access the Password Console, the browser extension, and other Namirasoft products from one place.

Step 2: Set Up Your Master Password

When you first use Namirasoft Password, you set a Master Password to unlock your vault and protect your stored entries.

This password is separate from your Namirasoft Account login and is never stored by Namirasoft.

Step 3: Answer Security Questions

Answer security questions used to verify your identity if you need to recover access to your vault. You can print your questions and answers for safekeeping.

Step 4: Add or Import Your Passwords

Once the security questions are completed, you gain full access to the Namirasoft Password Console.

From here, you can start building your vault in two ways:

  • Create new entries to manually store passwords for websites and services you already use.

  • Import existing passwords from other password manager applications to move everything into Namirasoft Password.

Step 5: Create a New Entry

Add your website credentials to Namirasoft Password by creating a new entry. Enter the following information:

  • Name: A label to identify the entry.

  • Group (optional): Organize entries for easier recognition.

  • URL: The website address for which the credentials are used.

  • Username and Password: Enter your credentials securely. These fields are sensitive if you select the sensitivity option.

After adding entries manually in the console, you can use the Namirasoft Password extension to auto-load credentials on the login page of the website you are visiting, making the process faster and more accurate.

Step 6: Create a Template

Create templates to generate secure passwords using Character Set or Pattern rules.

Learn more about template types in the Console Guide.

Step 7: Download and Log in to the Browser Extension

Download the Namirasoft Password extension for your browser and log in using your Namirasoft Account credentials.

Step 8: Use the Browser Extension While Browsing

  • Generate Password: On sign-up pages, use the on-page popup to generate a password using your saved templates.

  • Add Password: After registering or creating an account, save your credentials and other details to your vault through the popup.

  • Show Passwords: When logging in, the popup automatically loads saved passwords for the website, allowing you to select the correct entry and fill the credentials instantly.
