Knowledgebase Console Guide

This page provides a guide to the Knowledgebase entity in the Namirasoft Inference Console. It defines the concepts and configuration fields used when creating and managing Knowledgebases. Use this guide to understand the purpose and behavior of each setting available during Knowledgebase configuration.

What Is a Knowledgebase?

A Knowledgebase holds the knowledge you always want present, and it is available in every chat, whichever model answers. Items are organized under the base, so knowledge stays maintainable as it grows. For example, a Knowledgebase named “Company Facts” can hold your product names, policies, and contact details.

The Challenge a Knowledgebase Solves

The model does not know your business. Product names, policies, and facts must arrive with every request, or answers drift from reality.

Common challenges include:

  • Knowledge scattered: Facts live in prompts, documents, and code, and each application injects its own copy. No one can say which copy is current.
  • Stale answers: When knowledge changes, every embedded copy must be found and updated. The copies that are missed keep answering with the old truth.
  • Wiring per application: Context injection built into one application does not help the next one. The same plumbing is written again and again.

How Namirasoft Inference Solves the Problem

You create a Knowledgebase and add items to it. Each item carries its content as text, a URL, or a file. Attach the Knowledgebase to a Gateway, and the execution flow behind it can draw on every item when answering requests. Update an item once, and every request that follows carries the new knowledge.

Overview of Knowledgebase Fields and Options

Below is a detailed explanation of the fields available when creating or managing a Knowledgebase. Understanding these fields helps ensure your Knowledgebase is configured correctly for your requirements.

  • ID (String): This is a unique identifier automatically assigned to the Knowledgebase when it is created. The system uses it to track, reference, and manage this specific Knowledgebase. This value is auto-generated and cannot be modified.
  • User ID (Namirasoft Account’s ID): This is the unique identifier of the Namirasoft Account user who owns this Knowledgebase. It is used internally for permission control, audit logging, and access management.
  • Workspace ID (Namirasoft Workspace’s ID): This is the identifier of the workspace this Knowledgebase belongs to, as defined in Namirasoft Workspace. A workspace is a shared organizational space where teams group their work, projects, and members.
  • Name (String): This is a label used to identify this Knowledgebase in the console. A good name states the knowledge it holds. For example: “Product Documentation”.
  • Items (List): These are the pieces of knowledge organized under this Knowledgebase. Each item has its own fields, described below.
  • Item Name (String): This is a label for one item inside the Knowledgebase. For example: “Return Policy”.
  • Item Type (Enum): This is how the item carries its content. Text holds raw content directly, URL points to a web address, and File holds an uploaded file.
  • Item Value (String): This is the content of the item, matching its type, the raw text itself, the URL, or the file.
  • Item Description (String): This is optional explanatory text about the item, for teammates who maintain the Knowledgebase.
  • Description (String): This is optional explanatory text about this Knowledgebase. Use it to describe what the collection covers.
  • Created At (DateTime): This is the date and time when this Knowledgebase was created. This value is automatically generated and cannot be modified.
  • Updated At (DateTime): This is the date and time when this Knowledgebase configuration was last modified. This value is updated automatically whenever any field is changed.
