Branch Console Guide
This page provides a complete guide to the Branch section of the Namirasoft ERP Console. A branch is a location or division within a company, and it lets you keep and report activity separately for each part of the business. This guide explains each field on the Branch form.
What Is a Branch?
A branch is a subdivision of a company, such as a store, office, region, or business unit. Journal entries and accounts are recorded under a branch, so you can see how each part of the company is performing as well as the company as a whole.
Why Branches Matter
Reporting by branch shows where income and cost actually arise, which is essential when a company operates in more than one place. Giving each branch its own default currency also keeps entry quick and consistent for the people who work there.
How Namirasoft ERP Handles Branches
You create a branch under a company and set its default currency. From then on, entries recorded under the branch use that currency by default, and reports can be filtered to the branch or rolled up to the company.
Overview of Branch Fields and Options
The sections below explain each field on the Branch form.
-
ID (String): This is the unique identifier automatically assigned to the branch by Namirasoft ERP when it is created. You do not enter this value; it is used internally to reference the branch.
-
User ID (Namirasoft Account’s ID): This is the unique ID of the Namirasoft Account that created the branch. It links the record to the user who owns it for access control and history.
-
Company (String): This is the company the branch belongs to. Every branch lives inside one company, and its activity rolls up into that company’s reports.
-
Default Currency (String): This is the currency the branch works in by default, chosen from your currencies. New entries recorded under the branch use this currency unless you choose another, which speeds up daily work.
-
Name (String): This is the name of the branch, such as Head Office or North Region, as it should appear on your records and reports.
-
Country (String): This is the optional country where the branch is located, which is useful when a company operates across borders.
-
Enabled (Boolean): This controls whether the branch is active and available for new records. Turn it off to retire a branch while keeping its history intact.
-
Description (String): This is an optional note where you can record details about the branch, such as its address or purpose.
-
Created At (DateTime): This shows the exact date and time the branch was created. It is set automatically and does not change.
-
Updated At (DateTime): This shows the last time the branch was edited. It helps you track when the record was last maintained.
