This page provides a complete guide to the Vehicle section of the Namirasoft ERP Console. A vehicle is a car, truck, or other unit in your fleet, and its record is where fuel, odometer, and service history come together. This guide explains each field on the Vehicle form.

What Is a Vehicle?

A vehicle is a single unit in your fleet, described by details such as its license plate, model year, and fuel. Once registered, it is the record that odometer readings, refuelings, maintenance plans, and services all attach to.

 

Why Vehicle Records Matter

A complete vehicle record is the foundation of fleet tracking. Accurate details, including the fuel it uses and the unit its odometer reads in, make sure that fuel, distance, and maintenance are recorded and reported correctly for each unit.

 

How Namirasoft ERP Handles Vehicles

You register each vehicle under a company and branch, link it to the fuel it runs on, and set its odometer and tank units. From there you can schedule maintenance, log refuelings and services, and see the operating cost of the vehicle over time.

 

Overview of Vehicle Fields and Options

The sections below explain each field on the Vehicle form.

• ID (String): This is the unique identifier automatically assigned to the vehicle by Namirasoft ERP when it is created. You do not enter this value; it is used internally to reference the vehicle.

• User ID (Namirasoft Account’s ID): This is the unique ID of the Namirasoft Account that created the vehicle. It links the record to the user who owns it for access control and history.

• Company (String): This is the company the vehicle belongs to.

• Branch (String): This is the branch, a location or division within the company, that the vehicle is assigned to.

• Fuel (String): This is the fuel the vehicle runs on, chosen from your fuels, such as Diesel or Petrol. It is used when you record refuelings for the vehicle.

• Name (String): This is a friendly name for the vehicle, such as a nickname or fleet number, that makes it easy to recognize in lists.

• License Plate (String): This is the vehicle’s registration plate number, which identifies it on the road and in your records.

• VIN (String): This is the Vehicle Identification Number, the unique code assigned by the manufacturer. It is usually found on the dashboard or the registration document.

• Model Year (Number): This is the year of the vehicle’s model, such as 2024.

• Color (String): This is the color of the vehicle, which helps identify it among similar units in the fleet.

• Odometer Unit (Enum): This is the unit the vehicle’s odometer reads in. Choose KM for kilometers or Mile for miles. It sets the unit used for this vehicle’s readings and distance based maintenance.

• Tank Capacity (Number): This is the size of the vehicle’s fuel tank, entered as a number in the unit chosen below. It is useful for checking refuelings and estimating range.

• Tank Capacity Unit (Enum): This is the unit the tank capacity is measured in. Choose Liter or Gallon.

• Description (String): This is an optional note where you can record extra details about the vehicle.

• Created At (DateTime): This shows the exact date and time the vehicle was created. It is set automatically and does not change.

• Updated At (DateTime): This shows the last time the vehicle was edited. It helps you track when the record was last maintained.
