Service Type Console Guide

This page provides a complete guide to the Service Type section of the Namirasoft ERP Console. A service type is a category of work your vehicles receive, such as an oil change or a tire rotation. This guide explains each field on the Service Type form.

What Is a Service Type?

A service type is a reusable label for a kind of maintenance or repair, such as Oil Change, Brake Service, or Inspection. You define it once and then reuse it on maintenance plans and on the services you record for each vehicle.

Why Service Types Matter

Naming the work in a consistent way lets you schedule it, record it, and report on it reliably. Service types keep your fleet history tidy, so you can see at a glance how often each kind of work is done and what it costs.

How Namirasoft ERP Handles Service Types

You create the service types your fleet uses under a company and branch. They then become the choices available when you build a maintenance plan or log a completed service.

Overview of Service Type Fields and Options

The sections below explain each field on the Service Type form.

  • ID (String): This is the unique identifier automatically assigned to the service type by Namirasoft ERP when it is created. You do not enter this value; it is used internally to reference the record.

  • User ID (Namirasoft Account’s ID): This is the unique ID of the Namirasoft Account that created the service type. It links the record to the user who owns it for access control and history.

  • Company (String): This is the company the service type belongs to.

  • Branch (String): This is the branch, a location or division within the company, that the service type is recorded under.

  • Name (String): This is the name of the service type, such as Oil Change or Tire Rotation, as it appears when you schedule or record work.

  • Description (String): This is an optional note where you can describe what the service type covers.

  • Created At (DateTime): This shows the exact date and time the service type was created. It is set automatically and does not change.

  • Updated At (DateTime): This shows the last time the service type was edited. It helps you track when the record was last maintained.
