Party Console Guide

This page provides a complete guide to the Party section of the Namirasoft ERP Console. A party is a person or organization you do business with, such as a customer or a supplier. This guide explains each field on the Party form.

What Is a Party?

A party is anyone your business transacts with, including customers, suppliers, employees, and others. Recording a party lets you attach it to journal entry lines so you can track exactly who owes you money and whom you owe.

 

Why Parties Matter

Accounts alone tell you how much you are owed in total, but not by whom. Parties break those balances down by the person or organization behind them, which is what makes receivable and payable tracking, statements, and follow up possible.

 

How Namirasoft ERP Handles Parties

You create a party under a company and branch and give it a party type, such as Customer or Supplier. You can then reference the party on journal entry lines, and reports can be filtered by party or party type to show the detail behind an account.

 

Overview of Party Fields and Options

The sections below explain each field on the Party form.

• ID (String): This is the unique identifier automatically assigned to the party by Namirasoft ERP when it is created. You do not enter this value; it is used internally to reference the party.

• User ID (Namirasoft Account’s ID): This is the unique ID of the Namirasoft Account that created the party. It links the record to the user who owns it for access control and history.

• Company (String): This is the company the party belongs to. Each company keeps its own list of parties.

• Branch (String): This is the branch, a location or division within the company, that the party is recorded under.

• Party Type (String): This is the category the party falls into, such as Customer or Supplier. It groups your parties and can be used to restrict which parties are allowed on a given account.

• Name (String): This is the name of the party, such as the customer or supplier name, as it should appear on your records and reports.

• Enabled (Boolean): This controls whether the party is active and available for new records. Turn it off to retire a party while keeping its history intact.

• Description (String): This is an optional note where you can record details about the party, such as contact information or terms.

• Created At (DateTime): This shows the exact date and time the party was created. It is set automatically and does not change.

• Updated At (DateTime): This shows the last time the party was edited. It helps you track when the record was last maintained.
