What Is Cost Estimator?

Cost Estimator is a built-in calculator within Namirasoft Cost that helps you estimate future expenses based on your projected usage. It allows you to select a specific Namirasoft pay-as-you-go application, enter the expected usage amount, and instantly view estimated charges for different time intervals such as hourly, daily, or monthly.

 

Why Cost Estimation Matters

Understanding potential costs before committing to usage is essential for financial planning and budget control. Without a clear estimation tool, users may overspend or underestimate service consumption. The Estimator provides predictive visibility, helping you forecast your spending and make informed decisions about scaling your usage across Namirasoft’s pay-as-you-go products.

 

How Namirasoft Cost Enables Cost Forecasting

Namirasoft Cost integrates usage rate formulas and pricing structures from all supported pay-as-you-go applications. When you input your projected usage, the Estimator applies the corresponding cost model and calculates how much that level of usage would cost over different time periods. This helps you compare scenarios and prepare for upcoming expenses.

 

Overview of Estimator Fields and Options

The sections below explain each part of the Cost Estimator in detail. Understanding these fields will help you select products correctly, enter usage data accurately, and interpret estimated cost outputs to plan your spending effectively.

• Product (string): Select the Namirasoft product you want to estimate costs for. Each product defines its own usage metrics (such as records, reads, or storage), so the available parameters will update automatically once a product is chosen.

• Record Count (Integer): This indicates the total number of records or data entries processed by the selected product within the chosen period. This value is used to estimate how much data handling contributes to your overall usage cost.

• Active (Yes/ No): This option applies specifically to Namirasoft Bill Watch. If checked, the system calculates the estimated cost based on the total active monitoring hours, meaning the time your watch continuously tracks cloud costs.

• Record Size (String): This parameter applies to Namirasoft Log. It represents the average size of each log entry stored in your workspace. The estimator uses this value to calculate how storage volume affects your total cost.

• Read Size (String): This parameter applies to Namirasoft Log. It indicates how much data is read from stored logs during analysis or retrieval operations. It helps estimate read-related data usage.

• Read Unit (String): This parameter is used together with Read Size, and defines the unit of measurement for read data in Namirasoft Log. Selecting the right unit ensures accurate estimation of data read operations.

• Read Count (String):This applies to Namirasoft Secret. It shows how many times stored secrets have been accessed (read) during the selected period. Each read operation counts toward your usage total, affecting the overall cost estimation.
